iA Financial Group has appointed Stéphanie Butt Thibodeau as executive vice president, chief talent and culture officer.

In her new role, Thibodeau will also join iA Financial’s executive committee, chaired by president and CEO Denis Ricard.

Thibodeau has more than 27 years of experience in financial services and human resource management, and expertise in corporate transformation and organizational agility. Thibodeau joined Export Development Canada (EDC) in 1995, where she held management roles in all of the organization's major business lines. In 2016, she was later promoted to senior vice president, people and culture.

Thibodeau received her bachelor of commerce, finance, and international business degree from the University of Ottawa. She also holds certification from the Advanced Management Program at Columbia University in New York and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

"Stéphanie will lead the development and execution of the company's human resources strategy and its alignment with the values, objectives and needs of the entire organization," explained Denis Ricard in a statement.

Ricard added that Thibodeau’s mandate also includes shaping iA Financial’s human resource transformation programs, with the goal of optimizing the company’s workforce, technology, and operational excellence.

Earlier this month, iA Financial published a report on its sustainability performance in 2021. The insurer noted that last year was the second straight year that it was declared a “carbon-neutral company.”
