Insurance Supermarket Inc. (ISI) group of companies has appointed Ray McKenzie as president of both ISI and Specialty Life Insurance (SLi), effective January 14 of this year.

He was most recently serving as senior vice-president of brokerage with ivari (formerly known as Transamerica Life Canada). McKenzie has about 30 years of experience in the Canadian financial services industry.

“As we continue our rapid growth, the addition of Ray to our executive management team is a big step in our plans to build a more robust and well-structured organization,” commented ISI CEO Alex Dudarev.

“ISI continues to lead the industry in innovative technology and processes that work effectively with partners to serve consumers in the next generation of insurance distribution. We know our process works because it more effectively reflects and serves the needs of consumers when they research, select and purchase life insurance today,” Dudarev continued.

According to a release, there were more than two million Canadians who engaged with ISI web properties for life insurance information in 2018.
