Keal Technology, the Canadian provider of broker and commercial management systems, has announced the winners of its 2016 Kealy Awards for brokers.
The awards recognise brokers across Canada in three categories: excellence in community involvement, excellence in technology, and excellence in brokerage operations.
MHK Insurance Inc. of Edmonton, Alberta was named the winner of the Excellence in Community Involvement award.
In a release, Kealy said that MHK, which supports at least 13 charities in their area, “strive to give back to the people in Alberta that have given them many years of growth and success.”
Charities that MHK supports include Alzheimer Society, Habitat for Humanity Edmonton, and the Edmonton Food Bank.
“Whenever possible they involve staff in community initiatives designed to help others live better lives,” Kealy added.
Martel & Martel of Repentigny, Quebec was honoured for Excellence in Technology.
The brokerage understands that being able to leverage technology will benefit in gaining a competitive edge and driving efficiency, Kealy said.
“They are always looking for ways to innovatively use technology and take on the challenge of doing so,” the company added.
The award for Excellence in Brokerage Operations was presented to Bryson & Associates Insurance Brokers Ltd., of Ajax, Ontario.
“The long standing relationships that are built between the staff at Bryson and their customers is a key feature that differentiates them from other insurance providers,” Kealy said.
“The mandate at Bryson is to keep things personal. It is what got them to where they are today and it will be one of the core elements that will sustain their business into the future.”
The three winners received an Inuksuk as well as a $1,000 prize to further a cause of their choosing or invest in technology solutions.
