Kings Mutual Insurance Company has revealed that its current CEO, Cara Cameron, will not continue with the company.

The announcement comes as Kings Mutual pushes forward with its proposed amalgamation with Heartland Farm Mutual. The amalgamation is planned for June 30, 2021.

Cameron has been a part of Kings Mutual Insurance’s management and leadership team for the past 14 years. According to Kings Mutual chair of the board Lynn MacLean, it was under Cameron’s leadership that the company has continued to thrive and look for new customers.

A release noted that Cameron is very supportive of the amalgamation, and has wished both Kings and Heartland much success in the future.

The current Kings Mutual Insurance is itself the result of the amalgamation between The Kings Mutual Insurance Company (founded 1904) and Pictou County Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company (also established in 1904). It is one of the largest farm mutuals in the province of Nova Scotia.

Earlier this month, Heartland Farm Mutual formed a partnership with Hi Marley, to use the latter’s texting platform to better connect clients with claims representatives.
