The Brokerlink companies, comprised of Canada Brokerlink Inc., Canada Brokerlink (Ontario) Inc. and Macdonald Chisholm Trask Insurance, has acquired three brokerages in Northern and Southwestern Ontario.

The three brokerages, which maintain nine offices in the province, are Northwest Insurance Group, Gray Insurance Brokers and McGregor-Miller Insurance Brokers. The deal will increase Brokerlink’s network of offices in the province to 78.

Details of the purchase were not disclosed.

Brokerlink believes that these acquisitions will be an asset to brokers, and hope that insurance professionals view the move as a way to enhance their career.

“Brokers are recognizing the sustainability of our business model and see BrokerLink as a place where their employees can continue to grow their career,” said Paul Meyer, Head of Acquisitions at BrokerLink. “As a result of recent successful acquisitions, we are having quite a few conversations with brokerages wanting to learn more.”

The changes will be implemented within the next coming months, and existing brokers will remain in their current roles. Moreover, David Gray of Gray Insurance Brokers, Terry O’Neill of Northwest Insurance Group and Eileen Watson of McGregor-Miller Insurance Brokers will guide the transition as the merger is finalized.

Meyer expects the consolidation to go smoothly, and considers the brokerages to be compatible with Brokerlink’s own operations.

“The teams at these three brokerages are a natural fit with BrokerLink, sharing our vision of delivering an exceptional customer experience,” he said. “By joining BrokerLink, customers will continue to receive expert local advice and benefit from greater scale, support, technology and brand presence.”
