Canada’s largest pet health insurance company, Petsecure, has announced that it is partnering with the Toronto Humane Society to offer a new pet insurance policy.

The Toronto Humane Society Pet Health Insurance product line includes coverage for dental, alternative and preventive treatments, and behavioral therapy as well as accident and illness protection.

The policy is now available to supporters of the society in the Greater Toronto Area, and offers pet owners the option to choose from four different levels of coverage to best suit their needs.

Rod Cunniam, president and COO of Petsecure, said the insurer was excited to partner with the society, adding: “The two organizations enjoy a great relationship built on mutual respect and shared learning – our goals are very compatible, and this collaboration represents the next logical step.”

The CEO of the Toronto Humane Society, Dr. Jacques Messier, said: “We were looking for a trusted partner to help us create a product that was right for our customers, and we have found that partner in Petsecure,” adding that the organization was thrilled to be able to offer a “great product that will allow for the best possible care for pets.”

The Toronto Humane Society promotes the humane care and protection of all animals, and was established in 1887 following an anonymous $2 donation to a workhorse from a Toronto resident.
