How does Forbes decide on the best employers for Canada?

Forbes worked on the independent survey with Statista, a market research firm.

The survey polled more than 40,000 employees across Canada, focusing on companies with at least 500 employees. It covered evaluations of over 900,000 employers.

Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on a range of criteria, including salary, gender pay equity, work flexibility, opportunities for promotion, and on-the-job training.

Participants were also asked if they would recommend their employer to others. They were also given the chance to rate other employers in their respective industries.

BFL Canada, a risk management and insurance brokerage, issued a statement on its inclusion in the Forbes list.

“BFL Canada's inclusion in Canada's Best Employers 2024 by Forbes is a testament to our commitment and engagement towards our employees,” said Lisa Giannone, president and COO of BFL Canada.

“We understand that our strength lies in our people, and we are dedicated to investing in professional development as well as employee engagement.”
