Western Financial Group has announced a new branch in Red Deer, Alberta, with doors set to open tomorrow (April 3).

The move, according to a news release, reaffirms the firm’s commitment to accessibility and local engagement to ensure residents and businesses have comprehensive insurance solutions within arm’s reach.

“We’ve been listening to our customers and they expect us to offer them a choice of ways to reach us and products to fit their needs so that buying insurance is easy, allowing them to feel secure that Western has their backs and is accessible in case something should go wrong,” said Kenny Nicholls, president and CEO of Western Financial Group. He reiterated the company’s commitment, since its establishment over a century ago, to prioritize local community support. Nicholls also noted the company’s goal to offer a broad range of insurance products and to make access to their services convenient.

The unveiling of the Red Deer branch, located at 120, 4925 30 Street, marks a milestone for the company as it sets its sights on enhancing its service. The new facility has been described as having a modern and welcoming design to make clients comfortable in discussing their needs, and the operating hours are from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for April 3, between 12pm and 2pm, to celebrate the branch’s opening. Guests in attendance include Nicholls, the company’s chief financial and risk officer Nancy Green-Bolton as well as its vice president of sales Jeff Zanolli, and Red Deer city officials.

Western Financial Group has been operating for over 100 years. It has a team of over 2,000 in over 200 locations, affiliates, and other connected channels. In 2001, the group established the Western Financial Group Communities Foundation, which has directed over $9 million towards supporting local initiatives across Canada.

It is a subsidiary of Trimont Financial Ltd., which is a part of The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company.
