Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty  (AGCS) have appointed a new head of mid-corp Canada in Linda Regner Dykeman effective April 18.

With more than 25 years of commercial insurance and leadership experience, Dykeman joins Allianz from Travelers Canada, where she served as head of business insurance, responsible for Canada's Business Insurance strategy.  Prior to this, she served as senior vice president, specialty insurance and national business development for Aviva Canada, tasked with creating and executing operational plans for the specialty commercial lines division, including Managing General Agents (MGAs) and programs.  Dykeman began her career at RSA, where she spent ten years holding various underwriting and leadership roles.

“Linda’s deep understanding of the Canadian market combined with her long-standing broker relationships will take our MidCorp division to the next level,” stated Kadow. “Her diverse background, which includes everything from underwriting and operations to compliance and business development, will be of immense value to this specialized line and region.”

Based in Toronto, she will report to Ulrich Kadow, chief agent for Canada with a matrix report to Hugh Burgess, global head of mid-corp and head of corporate lines, North America.

In charge of a team of more than 20 underwriters, Dykeman will be tasked with the development and execution of the local Mid-Corp strategy for the region, while supporting global development initiatives. The Mid-Corp line of business targets commercial clients with annual revenues of up to $500 million.

“Linda is a great addition to AGCS and we look forward to working with her on moving the MidCorp business forward - both in Canada and our other regions,” added Burgess.
