For GivingTuesday, Economical Insurance granted donations to 14 charitable organizations in Canada.

The company selected the 14 recipients of its $65,000 donation total through its “Choose Your Charity” program. Now in its fourth year, the program allows Economical employees to nominate and vote for charities in their region to receive individual donations of $5,000. In cases where there were two winners in a region, the $5,000 donation was split into two $2,500 grants.

This year’s recipients of the “Choose Your Charity” program are:

“Economical Insurance is committed to supporting causes that drive positive change in the communities where we live and work,” said Economical Insurance vice-president of marketing and communication David Bradfield. “We’re proud to continue building a legacy that enables our teams to advocate on behalf of the causes nearest to their hearts.”

Since the “Choose Your Charity” program launched, Economical Insurance has granted $222,500 to Canadian charities.
