Brokers attending this week’s technology conference were eager to learn about the latest business management and eDoc systems that are on the market. The latest Insurance Business poll is asking just how much brokerages are taking advantage of these technologies.

The poll, which is on the home page and can be accessed here, asks, “Will your brokerage introduce any new technology this year to streamline your operations?”

There are the standard ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ replies, along with the option of ‘Already did in 2013’ and ‘Sticking with tried-and-true paper.’

The move to technology is mirrored by the growing presence on the internet, through improved access to mobile devices and online blogging.

Aviva Canada announced yesterday that it has obtained CSIO certification for eDocs.

“After launching a national eDocs program a year ago in both languages, we are proud to receive the CSIO endorsement,” says Robert Merizzi, CIO for Aviva Canada. “The certification reflects our team's dedication to improving the ease of doing business for our broker partners.” (continued.)
