The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is now providing insurance provider members “consumer-facing” marketing resources which showcase eSlips and My Proof of Insurance.

A release on the organization’s website explained that the marketing material is meant to be used by CSIO members to educate their customers on the benefits of electronic proofs of insurance. The resources are available to download on CSIO’s website, and can be used on members’ own websites, social media channels, and customer communications.

CSIO’s decision to share the materials comes as several provinces have approved the use of eSlips; since then, many brokers have found it challenging to explain this feature to their customers.

“The new promotional material gives insurance providers everything they need to explain and promote My Proof of Insurance to their customers, adding additional value to the client relationship,” the organization explained in a release.

Resources being provided include promotional videos that show drivers why they should go paperless for proofs of insurance; short how-to videos that explain how My Proof of Insurance works; links to the enhanced My Proof of Insurance website; and visual materials that can be used as logos, email signatures, and/or social media graphics.

All materials are available in both English and French.

“Consumers have heard about electronic proof of auto insurance, but have many questions on what exactly it means and how they can get it,” said CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola.

Smola added that thanks to these marketing resources, insurance providers can now better explain how eSlips work, as well as communicating the benefits of My Proof of Insurance.
