Damien Eccleton

Damien joined Gallagher in 2024 as Gallagher’s Property National Practice Leader. He has 14 years of experience working in the commercial insurance industry in Canada. In his current role, Damien is responsible for developing and growing Gallagher’s Property practice.

Damien began his insurance career in 2011 as an Underwriting trainee at Northbridge Insurance. In 2016, he joined AIG and held various senior underwriting positions focusing on Commercial Property. In 2021, Damien became the Commercial Property Underwriting Manager for AIG's Central Region. In this role, he managed a team of underwriters and was responsible for the overall portfolio management and strategy for the region. His areas of specialization range across several industries including real estate, financial institutions, manufacturing, hospitality, habitational, and retail.

Damien is originally from Toronto and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University.
