Tyler Townsend currently holds the position of National Construction Practice Leader at HUB International, where he oversees and supports the Canadian Construction Practice. In his role, Tyler leverages his expertise to provide strategic guidance and tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of construction stakeholders Nationally while working closely with partners across North America. With a comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape, he addresses immediate challenges while aligning solutions with long-term strategic objectives.

Tyler began his career at a global insurance brokerage, where he progressed through various roles, ultimately working with Canada’s largest clients within the Strategic Risk Advisory group. Prior to joining HUB International, Mr. Townsend served as Managing Director of a Toronto based Risk Management and Insurance Advisory firm working with clients across Canada and Europe while specializing in Controlled Insurance Programs and Public-Private Partnerships.

Tyler graduated with Honours from Carleton University, specializing in Business Law, and holds a Chartered Insurance Professional designation. He has been recognized for his achievements, including being named to the Insurance Business Canada: Top 40 Under 40 list and receiving the Award for Excellence in Risk Management from Insurance Business Magazine.
