Brokerslink has a new regional manager for Europe in the form of Christos Gavriel (pictured).

The global broking business said Gavriel will be in charge of providing a connection between Brokerslink partners and affiliates in 35 European countries and the rest of the network. The goal is to help independent brokers in the region to find and develop new opportunities for their clients.

A former AIG executive, Gavriel is the founder of Cyprus-based Brokerslink affiliate Renaissance Insurance Brokers Ltd.

“My appointment is a genuine opportunity for me to give something back,” stated the key hire, whose arrival completes the company’s regional management team. “Brokerslink has been integral in helping me to develop a small Cypriot insurance broker into a Lloyd’s broker with a licence to transact across the European Union.

“At a time of continuous market consolidation and transformation, my focus will be to influence positive change among Brokerslink Europe partners and within Brokerslink itself. I hope that the European region will become the driving force in establishing Brokerslink as the preferred alternative to multinational brokers globally.”

Gavriel joins regional managers Ana Borges, Sid Garcia, and Esteban Sanchez who are responsible for Middle East & Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America & the Caribbean, respectively.

“I’m pleased to confirm Christos’s appointment as our new regional manager for Europe,” commented Brokerslink chairman José Manuel Fonseca.

“Christos’s values are very much aligned with those of Brokerslink; he understands the importance of developing relationships that help us to work in partnership more efficiently. His experience and entrepreneurial spirit play a key role as we grow and develop our network in Europe.”
