Channel Syndicate 2015 has announced major changes within its property direct and facultative (D&F) division following the departure of one of its founding partner.

Claudia Adkins has been promoted as head of the division, which is segmented into international and North American lines.

Henry Sturge has been appointed as head of the North American line and will be supported by Natalie Gibb, underwriter.

Within the international line, Channel also promoted Lauren Pitts and Jack Pickard as senior underwriter and underwriter respectively.

“We enjoy a strong reputation in both the US and International D&F markets as a favoured and reliable provider of coverage around the globe,” said Channel Syndicate CEO David Reed.

“These promotions follow the departure of David Leathem, one of the Syndicate’s founding partners and formerly Head of Property, and my thanks and best wishes go to David for leading our launch in this class,” he added.

Adkins joined Channel shortly after its foundation to develop the international property book. With over 14 years of experience in the Lloyd’s market, she held roles at Arthur J. Gallagher, Brit Syndicates and Zurich.

Sturge, meanwhile, boasts more than 20 years of experience in the Lloyd’s market and has been with Channel since 2013. He previously worked at SVB Syndicates, Markel International and Talbot Underwriting.
