Several insurance and reinsurance firms have announced leadership appointments across underwriting, specialty, operations, and board-level roles.
AEGIS London has promoted Tom Prifti (pictured above, left) to class underwriter for international errors and omissions. He succeeds Martin King, who retired at the end of 2025 after 10 years at AEGIS London and a career that began in 1982 at C.T. Bowring.
Prifti joined AEGIS London in 2014 as a claims adjuster before moving into the E&O underwriting team in 2016. He has experience in face-to-face underwriting at Lloyd's as well as digital trading via AEGIS London's online quote-to-bind platform for Canadian E&O risks.
The E&O team writes a portfolio covering sectors including architects, accountants, engineers, lawyers, IT professionals, insurance professionals, and affinity groups. Prifti was mentored by head of property Toby Sawyer as part of AEGIS London's mentorship programme.
