Geo Underwriting chief executive Jaime Swindle (pictured above) is set to join Jensten Group after being appointed to a newly created role overseeing product and distribution across the broker’s schemes, affinity and underwriting businesses.

Swindle joins Jensten after nearly four years leading Geo Underwriting.

Before that, she served as managing director of networks and products at Bravo Group from January 2020 to July 2022, according to her professional profile. She previously held senior positions at NIG Commercial, RBS Insurance, ACE European Group, AXA and Countrywide Insurance Management.

“I’m delighted to be joining Jensten at such a pivotal moment in the company's journey. With Bain Capital's backing and a strong platform already in place, the ingredients for something truly special are here. I look forward to working with the talented team to build on the impressive progress made to date and unlock the full potential of what this business can become. The next chapter is an exciting one, and a great one to be part of,” said Swindle.

The appointment, which remains subject to regulatory approval, places Swindle on Jensten’s group executive committee as chief executive of product and distribution. It fills a role created during the company’s April restructuring, when Jensten split its operations into two trading divisions — Broking and Product & Distribution — under a five-year growth plan.

That earlier restructuring also saw Gareth Birch, formerly managing director of SME and personal lines at Gallagher’s UK retail business, appointed chief executive of broking effective May 1, also subject to regulatory approval. Jensten had said at the time that it was still searching for a product and distribution chief. Swindle’s appointment now completes that leadership overhaul.

Jensten said the product and distribution division combines its schemes and affinity operations with Jensten Underwriting, with the structure designed to align product development, underwriting capability and distribution strategy.

“I couldn’t be more delighted to be welcoming Jaime into the business. She will make a significant difference and help us to really establish ourselves as a mature competitor in the market. Having brought Bain on board at the end of 2025, had David [McMillan] and Andy [Homer] join our Group Board at the start of the year and Gareth [Birch] join us to lead our broking division earlier this month, we are now incredibly well positioned to seize the opportunities the market presents us,” said Robert Organ, group chief executive of Jensten Group.

Why underwriting sits at the centre of the plan

The appointment comes as Jensten increases its focus on underwriting.

In April, the company said it aimed to triple the premium managed through Jensten Underwriting within four years, according to industry reports. The underwriting arm has become a larger part of Jensten’s growth plans following Bain Capital’s acquisition of the business in November 2025.

At the time of that transaction, Jensten said it operated across more than 50 UK locations, employed more than 1,000 staff and managed around £600m in gross written premium. Other industry reporting later put the figure at more than £650m in gross written premium placed into the market, alongside a network of 85 franchise holders.

The business had also completed 37 acquisitions under previous private equity owner Livingbridge before Bain took control.

Acquisitions continue after Bain deal

Jensten has remained active on acquisitions since the Bain deal closed.

In January, the broker announced acquisitions of Broker One, Coversure Dudley and Mediprotect Healthcare. The Broker One deal marked Jensten’s entry into Scotland, while the other two businesses added capabilities in fleet, truck and private medical insurance. Following those transactions, Jensten said it operated from more than 50 offices with over 1,000 employees.

Those deals followed Jensten’s acquisition of Northern Counties in November 2025, which remained subject to FCA approval at the time.
