It’s fair to say that Saffron Insurance is on something of a hot streak, today announcing the third in a hat-trick of acquisitions so far this year.

The Ethos Broking Partner has sealed a deal for another company within the Bravo GroupBroker Network member Sharer Chapman. The latter, an Essex-based independent broker, has established itself as a leading commercial lines company with a noted specialism in the property owners’ insurance for landlords segment.

The Harlow firm is headed by Ian Sharer, David Chapman and Paul Longford – all of whom are set to remain with the business alongside six additional members of staff. The company will also retain its current premises.

Steve Seekings, MD at Saffron, described the firm as “well-respected” and noted that it had flourished under its existing leadership – something he is keen to keep in place.

“I’m excited to begin working with the team to expand the client-base further,” he said.

“Saffron has gone through a radical phase of growth over the last 12 months but purchasing the right brokerage, that aligns with our culture and complements our offering is imperative to us,” he added. “2019 is set to be our most productive year yet and with the support from Ethos Broking, we have a compelling proposition which is generating interest across the East of England.

Ethos Broking took a majority stake in Saffron Insurance in 2018 and the broker has since completed deals for Continuum, Grove Insurance, Farmer Insurance and Bridge Insurance.
