Chris Haggart (pictured) has made the switch from Zurich Insurance to Global Risk Partners Limited (GRP), where he will focus on the integration of new swoops and driving profitability.

Appointed to the newly created position of commercial director retail broking, Haggart also brings years of experience from NFU Mutual

“I know GRP well having dealt with them in the market over a number of years, and I’m certain it is an environment I will enjoy,” commented the key arrival. “I’m excited about this new role which provides the opportunity to make a real difference working with some of the great businesses which make up the group.”

To date, GRP has snapped up 34 businesses since coming to life in 2013. It handles in excess of £700 million in gross written premium.

“Our business is growing at a tremendous rate, and we have a great pipeline of new acquisitions which will maintain our momentum into 2019,” said broking chief executive Mike Bruce. “A key part of our model is integrating new acquisitions, providing central operational support, and identifying and sharing best practice.

“As the business expands, we are building a talented central management team to support this model, and Chris will bring energy and experience in this key new role for the group.”
