Qlaims Limited founder Malcolm Harvey (pictured) has retired.

Harvey, who is credited for creating the original loss recovery insurance product in the ‘80s, founded Qlaims in 2017 before launching the managing general agent in 2020.

The claims advocate stepped down as chief executive in 2021, staying on as executive director and promoting then chief commercial officer Liz Latter to CEO.

In an emailed release, Latter commented: “I would like to thank Malcolm for his support and guidance. The whole team shares his passion to improve the customer claims experience, and we will miss his challenge, inspiration, and of course the banter.

“We all wish him well and enjoyment for his retirement.”

Meanwhile Qlaims chair Simon Cooter cited the energy that Harvey brought to the MGA.

He said: “Having identified Liz Latter as his successor and worked closely with Liz to create a fantastic team, he leaves the business in great hands. I wish Malcolm a long, happy, and very well-earned retirement.”
