Independent brokers body Brokerslink has announced the expansion of its global construction practice with two key appointments.

The newly-expanded practice will provide Brokerslink clients with better access to specialist construction broking skills – including risk management, technical, construction industry knowledge and marketing resources.

A spokesperson for the network told Insurance Business that it expects infrastructure investment around the world to “dramatically increase” in the coming years.

“We are able to offer the same level of specialist construction broking knowledge to those building in London or Lagos or New York or New Delhi,” the spokesperson said.

“The experience and expertise we deliver is consistent across the world - that combined with the local broker as the on the ground partner allows us to offer an individualized, personal level of service.”

Brian Schofield and Edouard Marron have been appointed as co-practice leaders, taking up their roles with immediate effect and bringing more than 65 years of experience in construction broking to the table.

Schofield is a senior managing director at Crystal & Company, and Marron is managing director of construction at Ed Broking, both of which Brokerslink described as “respected partner companies.”

Paul Bitner, managing director of Brokerslink, said the network was pleased to welcome its two new co-practice leaders into their roles.

“Their standing in the industry and sector knowledge make them ideal candidates to spearhead this new phase in the development of our global construction business,” Bitner said.

“I look forward to working closely with them and our clients to further build out Brokerslink’s construction capability.”
