Stephan Simon, who was mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and transaction solutions director at Aon UK from 2015, is making the switch to independent specialist (re)insurance broker BMS.
Joining the BMS private equity, M&A, and tax insurance division in London, Simon will serve as a director and warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance head. He brings more than 17 years of M&A and legal experience to the post, having been a corporate lawyer and W&I broker.
“BMS has an excellent reputation in this sector and are recognised as some of the best in the industry,” commented the key addition, whose credentials also include time spent at Legal & General Group and Pinsent Masons LLP.
“Given current market conditions, it is an exciting venture to be a part of. I am very much looking forward to supporting Tan [Pawar, managing director and head of private equity, M&A, and tax] and the team.”
Pawar said Simon’s appointment will help accelerate the growth of the division’s offering.
