Succession plans are always vital in times of transition, and loss adjustor and marine warranty surveyor MatthewsDaniel can feel pleased with the way it mapped out its future.

That’s because with Kevin Jarman moving on after 30 years in the top job, chief operating officer David Cox will now step into the role of CEO.

Officially taking the position earlier this month, he will report to president of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore, Matthieu de Tugny who noted he has been “well prepared” for the role.

“[He] is the right person in what was already a challenging period for the industry – and even more so now in this time of COVID-19,” he said.

“I am also pleased to inform that Kevin Jarman will stay with the business in the role of special advisor to both David and myself for MatthewsDaniel.  Kevin’s focus will be to continue to give his advice, guidance, and support on general business matters, giving a strong focus on client relationships and business growth. I thank Kevin for three decades of leadership.”

Cox began his career as a subsea engineer back in 2001 with BBP Technical Services, before moving into a loss adjustor role at MatthewsDaniel back in 2006. He spent time in Singapore before returning to London in 2016 and holding the managing director for Europe role in 2018.
