Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) is on a roll with its latest acquisition in Texas.
The company has completed a deal for Pronto Insurance in Brownsville, TX. An MGA, broker and claims administrator, Pronto’s primary business is the placement of personal automobile insurance for consumers in Texas, California, and Florida. Notably, the MGA has a special focus on serving the insurance needs of the Hispanic market, a release said.
To facilitate its insurance distribution, Pronto operates a multi-channel network consisting of agencies it owns, franchise agents, independent agents, and a direct-to-consumer eCommerce platform.
As part of the transaction, Pronto will continue to operate from its current locations as a subsidiary of Risk Placement Services, AJG’s wholesale and MGA operation.
AJG has recently been engaged in a lot of M&A activity. In May alone, the company announced the acquisitions of Thomas Costello Insurance Agency in California, the Ohio-based A.J. Amer Agency, and ClearPoint Financial, located in Washington.
