Insurance broker and risk management consultant Ames & Gough has announced the appointments of Tom Marchetti as senior vice president and Kim Fruin as assistant vice president. Both will be based in the company’s Washington, D.C., office.

Marchetti (pictured above)) previously served as a vice president and was elected an equity partner at Ames & Gough in 2014. He works with some of the broker’s larger design firm and construction management clients across the country, and also co-leads the growth of its national association/nonprofit business initiative. Marchetti also has direct responsibility for overall business development in the D.C. metropolitan area, Florida and other parts of the country. Prior to joining Ames & Gough in 2010, he led the construction and real estate team at an insurance and risk management advisory firm in New Jersey.

Fruin (pictured directly above) previously served as a senior account manager, focusing on small firm property-casualty and professional liability placements. Before joining Ames & Gough in 2008, she served as an underwriter for Travelers in the medical services division. She has also worked in agency programs for Lexington Insurance Company’s small program division. Fruin began her insurance career in 1986 as an account manager in the architects and engineers division at Victor (then Victor O. Schinnerer).

“Over the years, our strong growth and continued success are based on our steadfast commitment to our clients and the exceptional performance of our talented colleagues on their behalf,” said Matt Gough, president of Ames & Gough. “Tom and Kim have shown a passion for excellence in delivering client service, building new relationships and collaborating with our colleagues. I’m delighted to recognize their many contributions to our clients and our firm, and look forward to their future success as they continue to build their careers here.”
