Eric Schwebach has jumped from reinsurance intermediary Guy Carpenter to the reinsurance solutions business of Aon Plc.

Appointed as senior managing director, Schwebach will be in charge of the management of major clients and the generation of new business. The former senior vice president, who brings 15 years of industry experience, will report to Aon Reinsurance Solutions executive managing director Trevor Dorr.

“Eric is a tremendous addition to our team in Minneapolis,” commented Dorr. “We believe that his skill set will benefit our clients, and we’re extremely pleased to have Eric join our growing Aon broking team.”

Schwebach’s arrival marks an Aon comeback. The new senior managing director began his reinsurance career in 2006 at Benfield, and was previously part of Aon Benfield’s client development and production teams.
