Apparent Insurance makes its debut on Texas auto insurance market

A new auto insurer is selling coverage that best suits families in Texas.

Apparent Insurance is a company that touts itself as an insurer that was “designed for parents by parents.” The company offers tailored features, discounts and services that are relevant to parents with children of all ages. These features include car seat and stroller replacement, family-size car rental after an accident, a teen driver app, smart roadside assistance, student-away-at-school and good-grade discounts, as well as home mechanic services.

“To shape our company, we collaborated directly with parents, creating an ongoing advisory panel,” explained Apparent Insurance managing director Colleen Benzin.

“We began by talking to parents about coverage challenges, and their expectations of an auto insurer. They told us they want an experience that evolves as their family does, we listened and worked with them to do just that. And we’re excited this same panel will continue to help us develop relevant features and services for Apparent,” Benzin added.

Currently, Apparent Insurance is available to customers across the state of Texas, with plans to extend availability to other states in the near future.

A “deeply experienced” management team heads Apparent Insurance, secured and backed by Admiral Group, which covers over six million customers worldwide, a release said.
