Associated Agencies appoints new business development head

Associated Agencies has announced the appointment of Jim Schmidt as director of business development. In his new role, Schmidt will be responsible for developing a consistent sales process that grows the company’s client base.

“I bring more than 25 years of experience to Associated Agencies, Inc.,” Schmidt said. “I am looking forward to building on the successful foundation that Associated has established.”

Prior to joining Associated Agencies, Schmidt served as commercial lines manager for USI Insurance Services. There, he managed a book of middle-market/risk management-sized commercial lines clients in the healthcare, construction, manufacturing and habitational industries.

“Jim has an extensive background in program development, sales leadership and operational leadership,” said Josh Herz, president of Associated Agencies. “He has a proven track record of leading toward a strong sales culture. We are excited for Jim to bring his strategic perspective to our leadership group, our sales team and our clients.”
