Benefitfocus appoints 2 tech execs to leadership team

Benefitfocus has announced the appointment of two technology executives to its leadership team. Peter Allen has been appointed senior vice president for sales and strategic initiatives, and Jeffrey Gross has been appointed senior vice president for marketing and branding.

Allen will be responsible for leading the company’s sales team, accelerating platform sales growth, and delivering on the company’s strategic priorities.  He brings more than 25 years of experience in technology sales to the role. Allen has held executive positions with Iron Mountain, Alvarez & Marshal, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Information Services Group (ISG).

Prior to joining Benefitfocus, Gross served as chief marketing officer for Axway Technology. He has more than 25 years of experience, and has held roles at Software AG, Microsoft, BearingPoint Consulting and KPMG.
