BrokerTech Ventures (BTV), a broker-led convening platform and accelerator program, has revealed the ten insurtech startups that will be taking part in its program.

John Jackovin, the executive director of the BTV Accelerator, expressed his excitement about the selected Insurtech companies.

“I am thrilled with the quality of innovation moving through our accelerator, as well as the diversity in founder, team makeup, and geographies represented. With these high-caliber, early, and growth-stage insurtech companies on our roster, we truly believe we will be able to help clients identify risk sooner to drive down costs faster,” he said.

The ten selected Insurtech startups are BluePond.Ai from Basking Ridge, New Jersey; Centinel from Chicago, Illinois; Feathery from San Francisco, California; Gabriel from Modiin, Israel; Gaya Technologies from San Francisco, California; Handl Health from Culver City, California; Lightship Neuroscience from San Diego, California; Powerbroker AI from San Francisco, California; Qumis from Chicago, Illinois; and Tailwind from Mercer Island, Washington.

The accelerator cohort will begin on April 10 and 11 with the BTV Mania that will be held in Des Moines, Iowa.

New broker and community partners

In addition to the announcement of the accelerator cohort, BTV also unveiled Insurance Office of America as its newest broker partner and Dowling Capital as its new community partner.

Den Keough, chairman and CEO of Holmes Murphy and co-founder of BTV, said that the new partners will be important in BTV’s overall strategy.

“We have intentionally and thoughtfully come together, representing multi-billions of dollars in collective distribution and industry depth of expertise, and we believe that BTV can be the convening platform to provide access into the unknowns, idea-sharing, investing, and distribution for the benefit of all,” said Keough.

BTV is also in the fourth year of its collaboration with Insurtech ITC Vegas and has been hailed as the headline sponsor of its ITC Brokers curated program which was part of the ITC Vegas 2024 concept.

“The ITC Vegas platform brings together the greatest minds around insurtech trends, technologies, and applications,” said Keough.

“We represent the brokerage community and the voice of the client, and we believe there is significant value in the community the ITC Vegas team has been building since 2016,” he said further.

BTV will be leading out the content series on October 15 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
