CNA has appointed Michael Nardiello as its new senior vice-president of underwriting for large/complex property.

According to a release, Nardiello will be based in New York City. He will be responsible for “implementing underwriting strategies and operational objectives” for CNA’s large/complex property business.

“Michael’s deep underwriting acumen and extensive broker relationships will increase CNA’s ability to capitalize on profitable growth opportunities in the large/complex property insurance marketplace,” commented CNA property senior vice-president and leader Drew Feldman. “His proven leadership and insurance expertise make him well suited to further strengthen CNA’s property capabilities.”

Nardiello was most recently a senior vice-president, global property product leader at Sompo International. He has held a range of underwriting and management positions throughout his 23-year insurance career in companies such as at AIG and Marsh.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland.
