Chubb subsidiary Combined Insurance has announced two new senior leadership appointments. Nancy Goodwin has been appointed senior vice president and chief underwriting officer while Alejandro Benavides has been appointed chief information officer. Both will report to Joe Vasquez, president of Combined Insurance and senior vice president of Global Accident & Health, Chubb Group.

“We are pleased to welcome Nancy and Alejandro to our executive team,” Vasquez said. “Their deep expertise and proven leadership will be instrumental in our company’s dynamic path forward – focused on attracting strong talent and providing best-in-class service for our customers and distribution partners while delivering sustainable growth.”

In her new role, Goodwin leads Combined’s individual and group underwriting team. She brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role. Prior to joining Combined, Goodwin served as vice president of group underwriting at Lincoln Financial. She has also held roles at Liberty Mutual, John Hancock Financial Services, and The Paul Revere Corporation (now part of Unum).

Benavides leads the company’s IT organization. Prior to joining Combined, he served as regional CIO at Chubb, and led the integration of the ABA Seguros and Fianzas Monterrey units in Mexico – two Chubb acquisitions. Benavides has more than 30 years of IT experience within the insurance industry and various software consulting firms.
