HUB International bolsters entertainment practice with new hire

HUB International has announced the appointment of entertainment insurance specialist David Cloward (pictured above) as practice leader for its entertainment practice.

“David’s reputation in both the insurance and entertainment communities is impeccable, and I’m proud he chose to join our team,” said Andrew Forchelli, president of HUB’s entertainment & sports specialty practice. “Adding his unique skill set to our team should signal to both our clients and the broader entertainment industry that we are committed to their success during these trying times.”

Cloward’s appointment supports the continuing growth of HUB’s presence in the entertainment industry, the company said. In his new role, he will focus on managing key film, production, venue, business management, and live entertainment clients.

Cloward has more than 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the company, he managed and led a team of underwriter specialists focusing on live entertainment insurance at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty. He has also held senior underwriting roles for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and W.R. Berkley Corporation.

“HUB has demonstrated over the years its commitment to the entertainment insurance sector by aligning with some of the most knowledgeable and most experienced talent in the industry, at the same time making sure the needs of their creative and dynamic clients are met with solutions for today and tomorrow,” Cloward said. “The future of HUB and the entertainment industry as a whole excites me, and I want to be a part of an organization that I know can make a difference in shaping how the industry moves forward and who will be good stewards of an industry I appreciate and care for so much.”
