National wholesale broker and managing general agency Innovative Coverage Concepts (ICC) has announced the appointment of industry veteran Brian L. Eighmy (pictured) as its director of claims.

Eighmy has 20 years of experience in claims management, including holding senior leadership positions at national third-party administrators. Prior to joining ICC, he served as assistant vice president of Arch Insurance Group’s Major Case Unit. In that role, he oversaw Arch’s most severe claim situations. He’s also served as assistant vice president of claims with Berkley Program Specialists, president of Blue Leaf Claims, and assistant vice president at GAB Robins North America. He began his insurance career in 1998 at Murdock Claim Management Company, and rose through the ranks to become president of that company in 2005.

“ICC’s success is built around our ability to bring new, cost-effective insurance solutions to agencies and their commercial clients, and to support them with exceptional service delivery,” said Dean Carras, ICC president and CEO. “The management and resolution of complex claims remains a priority for all our clients and partners. Brian is a proven leader with an outstanding track record in all areas of claims advocacy and management.”

Eighmy is a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Lafayette College.
