Insurers Ian H. Graham Insurance (IHG) and CNA said that they have expanded their mutually exclusive product portfolio to provide new umbrella coverage for community associations, according to a PRNewswire report.

IHG is a division of Aon Affinity, the affinity arm of Aon. The firm currently provides joint policies with CNA for directors and officers (D&O) liability and crime insurance.

Through the new product, IHG will provide internal underwriting capability. Some key features of the umbrella product are: standard limits from $1 million to $10 million, or higher; coverage provision by their A-rated carrier, CNA; follow form excess over CNA’s D&O liability; and duty to defend policy.

The product also carries other expanded features and is subject to policy terms and conditions.

Support service standards include 24hr turnaround for new business quotes, automatic renewals for qualified accounts, and access to product experts to assist clients with their concerns and queries about the new product.

“The addition of this new coverage responds to our broker and client needs by offering a one-stop insurance solution for these specialty products,” Sylvia Tagle, executive vice president at IHG, told PRNewswire.

The wire service also reported CNA umbrella and excess vice president Michael Kirchgessner as saying: “CNA is pleased to collaborate with IHG and expand our product offering in the community association market. This new umbrella product provides a customized and seamless approach to umbrella coverage for… customers needing more than just a primary policy.”
