The new location is part of TCS’s $2.5 billion deal with life insurer Transamerica. TCS also gained over 800 employees from the transaction.
TCS’s new location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, marks the company as one of the largest employers in the city, The Economic Times reported.

We look forward to partnering with the state, city and local organizations to improve economic, workforce and social outcomes for the community,” said TCS president and global head of banking, financial services and insurance platforms Suresh Muthuswamy in a statement.
The company said it has invested almost $3 billion in the US over the past three years.
