Indian multinational company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened an insurance hub in Iowa.

The new location is part of TCS’s $2.5 billion deal with life insurer Transamerica. TCS also gained over 800 employees from the transaction.

TCS’s new location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, marks the company as one of the largest employers in the city, The Economic Times reported.

“As a top employer, we have been attracting the best local talent across the US and are proud to welcome more than 800 Iowans to our workforce. We look forward to partnering with the state, city and local organizations to improve economic, workforce and social outcomes for the community,” said TCS president and global head of banking, financial services and insurance platforms Suresh Muthuswamy in a statement.

The company said it has invested almost $3 billion in the US over the past three years.
