Independent agents, brokers, MGAs and carriers are headed to San Antonio today, March 3, for the start of the insurance industry’s largest technology conference in 2016.

The annual Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU) conference will serve as a forum for attendees to communicate and collaborate on the growing role technology plays in the industry. It will take place at the Henry Gonzalez Convention Center until March 5.

Vertafore, which delivers cloud-based insurance software and services that transform the business, said the line-up of speakers for this year will focus on the theme of disruption in the industry.

“Our goal is to arm our customers, whichever role they play in the distribution channel, with ideas and solutions they need to drive results, and technology that helps them keep their independence in this age of disruption,” said Guy Weismantel, vice president of marketing at Vertafore.

“NetVU is a great opportunity for attendees to network and share those ideas and best practices with each other.”

Top Vertafore speakers and customers are expected to educate and empower attendees on how to adapt and stay ahead of market disruption. During the keynote sessions on Thursday, Vertafore executives will highlight key product updates that support customers’ ability to adapt and stay ahead of disruption.

The speakers include David Smith, Global Futures and Foresight chief executive, and J.R. Martinez, US Army veteran, bestselling author, actor and motivational speaker .

Apart from on-stage product demos and live training sessions, attendees will have the chance to network with technology analysts and influencers along with representatives from industry associations.
