Several major insurance organizations have announced executive appointments aimed at reinforcing operations, technology strategies, and market specialization.

Trucordia named Rajeev Khanna (pictured above, left) as chief information officer. In this role, Khanna will oversee platform integration, digital transformation, and technology innovation to support business expansion.

Khanna brings more than 30 years of experience in global technology leadership. Most recently, he was global chief technology officer at Aon plc, where he led a 2,000-person team and oversaw corporate systems, infrastructure, analytics platforms, end-user services, and applications across North America.

His earlier roles include vice president of global infrastructure services at Expedia and senior director at Asurion. He holds an MBA in finance and international business from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers University.

Trucordia also appointed Leanne Ross (pictured above, right) as senior vice president and national sales leader. Ross will be responsible for developing and scaling a nationwide sales strategy aligned with the company’s recent rebranding and growth initiatives.

Previously, Ross served as head of enterprise sales at Utica National Insurance Company, where she expanded premium volume from $1.5 billion to over $1.9 billion in less than three years. Before that, she was national sales leader at Renaissance Alliance, increasing written premium from approximately $550 million to more than $1.3 billion.

Ross is the founder of sales consulting firm Ivy Ladder and has held leadership roles at The Hartford and Brown & Brown. She earned a business degree from Michigan State University and holds both CIC and CRM designations.

Last month, the brokerage announced the completion of a debt refinancing initiative alongside a $1.3 billion strategic investment from Carlyle.

Zurich North America head of direct markets

Zurich North America announced the return of Todd Kaminski as head of direct markets, effective July 7. Kaminski, a 30-year veteran of the company, will report to Zurich North America CEO Kristof Terryn and serve on both the executive committee and group leadership team.

Kaminski began his career at Zurich in 1993 as an account executive and later held multiple sales leadership roles, including senior vice president of business development for the direct markets segment. He rejoined Zurich following a period of leadership consulting and will be based in Philadelphia.

Kaminski holds a marketing degree from Penn State University and has completed executive education programs at Kellogg, Wharton, and the Co-Active Coaching Training Institute.

AXA XL E&S senior underwriter

AXA XL has appointed Victoria Killingsworth as senior underwriter for excess and surplus (E&S) lines. In this role, Killingsworth will underwrite E&S property risks across multiple industries, working with other product lines to address clients’ multiline insurance needs.

Her previous roles include positions at Core Specialty Insurance and Lexington Insurance Company. She holds a global business degree with a focus on risk management and insurance from Troy University and is a licensed Georgia Property & Casualty Producer. Killingsworth is also active in the WSIA Career Development Committee.

Chubb private equity leader

Chubb named Scott Williams as private equity industry practice leader. Williams will continue to lead the private/not-for-profit management liability practice and will report to Michael Mollica, vice president at Chubb Group and division president of North America Financial Lines.

He will oversee private equity-focused initiatives, including the integration of underwriting and claims services. Williams joined Chubb in 2009 and has held various leadership roles since then. He replaces Seth Gillston, who was appointed head of global casualty for major accounts in North America.

Triple-I chief insurance officer

The Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I), an affiliate of The Institutes, has appointed Patrick Schmid as chief insurance officer, effective July 11, 2025.

Schmid will lead the Catastrophe Resiliency Council and the Insurance Research Council, while continuing as president of The Institutes’ RiskStream Collaborative. He will report to Triple-I CEO Sean Kevelighan and The Institutes’ president and CEO Pete Miller.

Schmid is succeeding Dale Porfilio. He holds a Ph.D. and master’s in economics from Temple University and has taught at institutions including Albright College, Drexel University, Saint Joseph’s University, Temple University, and the Wharton School.

Schmid’s previous roles include vice president at RiskStream Collaborative and economist at Moody’s Analytics.
