AIG has named new risk and actuarial chiefs, while Neptune Insurance Holdings, Tokio Marine HCC, Parametrix and FORTIFIED have also made senior appointments.
Global chief actuary Turab Hussain becomes chief risk officer on October 12, replacing Christopher Schaper, who is retiring. Graham Fulcher takes over the actuarial post on the same date.
Hussain has overseen pricing and reserving as global chief actuary since 2023. He will report to CEO Eric Andersen, sit on the executive leadership team and remain based in New York. He joined AIG in 2021 as chief risk officer for general insurance. Before that, he held senior risk roles at PartnerRe and The Hartford, and earlier positions at Arch Insurance, American Re and Reliance Insurance.
Andersen said Hussain will lead the risk organization "with a continued focus on enhancing the way we assess, manage and respond to risk across AIG."
Schaper joined AIG in 2019 to run AIG Re, served as global chief underwriting officer from November 2023 to January 2025, and then became chief risk officer. Andersen credited him with "contributing to AIG's turnaround, performance and long-term resilience," and said Schaper will stay through year-end "to ensure a seamless transition."
Fulcher, who will report to Hussain from London, joined AIG in 2022 as chief actuary for international commercial insurance. Before that, he held senior actuarial and risk consulting roles at Chubb, WTW and ACE.
The appointments complete a run of senior changes at AIG this year. Andersen has been CEO since June 1, 2026, when he took over from Peter Zaffino, who is now executive chair. Andersen joined AIG in February after nearly 30 years at Aon.

Nancy Bewlay, who joined from AXA, was named global chief underwriting officer effective September 8.
Neptune Insurance Holdings, parent of Neptune Flood Incorporated, which describes itself as an AI-native flood MGA, appointed David Noble as an independent director from September 30, 2026.
Noble is the founder of VIEW Advisors and was a senior executive at RBC and Morgan Stanley. According to Neptune, he ran the world's first digital retail bank and first digital brokerage.
The appointment comes as the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) operates under another short-term extension. It is now authorized through December 11 under a stopgap spending measure, according to the National Association of Home Builders.
Private carriers wrote about 643,000 flood policies as of May, compared with roughly 4.55 million in the NFIP, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Tokio Marine HCC's Cyber & Professional Lines Group (CPLG) has promoted Jonathan Holmes to senior vice president of professional lines. He now oversees employment practices liability, architects and engineers, contractors professional, healthcare professional, accountants and miscellaneous professional liability under one structure.
Chief growth officer Desiree Khoury said the change will help CPLG "make it easier for brokers to access more solutions in one place with the right expertise across CPLG and create more opportunities to grow with our partners."
The consolidation comes in a crowded market. Ryan Specialty reported in May that the E&O and professional liability segment has been extremely competitive, partly because of new entrants including MGAs. It added that incumbent carriers typically match rival pricing or coverage enhancements unless they have paid a larger claim or have frequency concerns.
Parametrix, a Lloyd's coverholder providing parametric cover for digital infrastructure and technology risks, has named Tresa Stephens (pictured) head of US underwriting. She most recently led cyber, tech and media for North America at Allianz Commercial, and has held senior roles at Argo Group, Chubb and Hiscox.
Parametrix already works with AIG. In August, AIG began offering eligible US cyber clients a parametric cloud outage endorsement built with Parametrix, with a two-hour waiting period and no retention after it.
Independent insurance network FORTIFIED has named Steve Cocke chief operating officer and chief financial officer from November 16, 2026. He previously held both roles at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big "I").
The appointment brings national association leadership experience to a network serving independent agents, who placed 62% of all US property and casualty premium in 2025, up from 61.5% in 2024, according to the Big "I" 2026 Market Share Report.
