A host of appointments have been announced in the last 24hrs across the US insurance market.
Chubb has named Bill Hazelton (pictured, left) chief operating officer for North America field operations, effective Dec. 1. Hazelton will oversee the delivery of personal and commercial insurance products across 48 branch offices, focusing on national distribution management, business development and strengthening relationships with trading partners.
Hazelton brings over three decades of industry experience, including prior leadership roles at Chubb and as EVP & president of North America Insurance at Everest Group.
Lacey Garrison Strom (pictured, center) has been promoted to president of personal lines at Heffernan Insurance Brokers.
Previously executive vice president and director of the private client group, Strom will lead client and carrier relationships, regulatory compliance, sales growth and operations for the personal insurance division, while continuing to oversee the private client group. Leadership emphasized her experience and client-focused approach as critical to maintaining service excellence.
ReSource Pro has appointed Rob Marinello (pictured, right) as senior director of partnerships and advisory.
Marinello will expand the company's partnership program, aligning technology and platform providers, enhancing engagement and delivering AI- and automation-driven solutions to clients.
Marinello brings more than 20 years of insurance and technology experience, including building partnerships with carriers, MGAs, agents, and brokers.
Hayes has more than two decades of experience in the insurance and legal sectors. Her career includes senior leadership roles at Higginbotham, Willis and Liberty Mutual, among others. Meanwhile, Otto joins AXA XL with more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the insurance industry. He has held senior client-facing roles at AIG, Virtus and AssuredPartners, among others. Most recently, he served as a client director at AIG.
Inszone Insurance Services has appointed Felipe Cuartas as vice president of growth & innovation. Cuartas will integrate data, analytics and emerging technologies into Inszone's national platform, helping the firm enhance operational efficiency, accelerate partner integration and support growth across personal, commercial and benefits insurance lines.
He has led large-scale digital initiatives that improved client experience and workforce efficiency through data-driven insights and AI-powered tools. In addition to his corporate leadership experience, he has founded and scaled technology ventures, served on nonprofit boards focused on food security, and spoken at national conferences about the responsible use of AI in business innovation.
Sandy Bigglestone, deputy commissioner of Vermont’s Captive Insurance Division, will retire Jan. 1, 2026, after nearly 30 years in state government.
She led the administration and regulation of Vermont’s captive insurance companies, helping establish the state as a global model for regulatory excellence, balancing innovation with solvency protections.
