Insurer launches new craft brewery and distilleries product
Philadelphia Insurance Companies this week announced a new package policy and product enhancements for the craft brewery and distilleries industry.

The collection of customized coverages includes property, general liability, product recall, contamination and adulteration, equipment breakdown, automobile, and liquor liability, among others. Specialized coverage is also available for breweries and distilleries with tasting rooms, restaurants and special events.

The products grant insureds access to PHLY’s complimentary online defensive driver and other trainings, as well as discounted motor vehicle record (MVR) checks.

PHLY’s emphasis on the brewery and distilleries space comes at a time of particular growth for the industry, with consistent year-over-year organic increase since the early 1990s and between 400 and 500 new breweries opening each year, according to Brewer’s Association.
