Patrick Cleary was named Managing Director of Sales for the Midwest by legal insurance brokerage ARAG. He will be based in Chicago.

"He uses a collaborative and consultative approach when working with clients, and focuses on educating them about the product. This is a critical technique for ARAG and the largely unknown legal category," ARAG Chief Sales Officer Dennis Healy said of Cleary.

Cleary has more than 25 years’ experience in the benefits industry. In the past, he served management roles at a number of insurance companies such as Prudential and Unum. Before joining ARAG, he was the Vice President of Sales for BenefitVision, Inc.

He is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, having earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Insurance.

"This is a great time to join ARAG because legal insurance is quickly gaining popularity as more employers turn to voluntary products to enhance benefits packages without increasing costs," Cleary remarked. He highlighted that ARAG’s legal insurance products will prove useful to the everyday employee who is beset by issues such as identity theft, caregiving, and financial planning.
