Marsh launches new pet insurance program

Marsh, in collaboration with Zurich North America, has launched a new pet insurance program, TrustedPals.

TrustedPals offers comprehensive pet insurance with flexible co-payments, limits and deductibles to meet different budgets, Marsh said. In the future, the program will also include annual rewards for pets with no claims and a real-time lost pet finding service. Marsh will also soon add a self-service feature driven by artificial intelligence to help pet owners manage their pet insurance needs.

“Our pets are family members, and as owners we want the best insurance coverage available to protect their health and wellbeing,” said Kevin Tobin, president and CEO of Marsh’s Insurance Services Group. “With TrustedPals, we are making it easy to purchase comprehensive, affordable pet insurance benefits that put the needs of pets first.”

Marsh will donate 1% of the profits from TrustedPals to organizations that help abandoned pets in the wake of natural disasters.

TrustedPals is underwritten with Zurich North America, and is available at via the affinity marketplace. It is also available through employer-sponsored voluntary benefit programs brokered by Mercer, a Marsh sister company.

“As a leader in insurance program development in the United States, being part of TrustedPals is the right choice for Zurich,” said Greg Massey, head of programs for Zurich North America. “Both Zurich and Marsh have a strong commitment to innovation and a proven track record of creating solutions for our customers.”
