Nationwide has been recognized with the 2018 Catalyst Award, which honors companies for exceptional efforts to advance women in business.

“We are proud of this accomplishment and our long-term partnership with the Catalyst organization,” said Nationwide CEO Steve Rasmussen. “This award is a reflection of Nationwide’s strong culture of inclusion and commitment to our associates, members and communities where we live and work.”

Nationwide said its company-wide initiative, “Our Associates’ Success Drives Business Success,” has enabled the company to advance all 34,000 associates and create opportunities for women and diverse associates.

“We’re honored to be a recipient of the coveted Catalyst Award,” said Gale King, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Nationwide. “Catalyst’s strong mission of accelerating progress for women through workplace inclusion aligns with Nationwide’s culture of ensuring that all of our associates can succeed. This is a continuing commitment and key to our future success as an organization.”

In order to be eligible for the award, Nationwide participated in a rigorous examination by Catalyst of its recruitment, development and advancement initiatives. The examination required the company to show proven, measurable results that benefitted women. It was followed by on-site interviews of associates in order to hear about their experiences at Nationwide.
