J.D. Power has awarded Nationwide the highest ranking for overall customer satisfaction in its 2019 US Small Commercial Insurance Satisfaction Study. This is the second consecutive year that Nationwide has received the top ranking. The insurer also ranked first in the policy offerings and claims categories.

“Small businesses drive America, and at Nationwide, we’re proud to support them with robust small business solutions and superior service,” said Mark Berven, president and COO of Nationwide Property & Casualty. “Receiving the highest ranking in J.D. Power’s Small Commercial Insurance Satisfaction Study in 2018 and 2019 reinforces our position as an industry leader and our commitment to helping our members build and protect their businesses.”

The J.D. Power study surveyed more than 3,200 small commercial insurance customers, asking them to rate companies in five categories: interaction, policy offerings, price, billing and payment, and claims. Nationwide scored 868 on a 1,000-point scale on J.D. Power’s index – 24 points above the industry average. The insurer ranked in the top three in all categories.

“For more than 90 years, Nationwide has been a leader for small business solutions,” Berven said. “Together with our independent agent partners, we’re thrilled to continue to meet the needs of our commercial lines members.”
