Northwestern Mutual’s director of diversity and inclusion has been named to the Black Enterprise 2018 list of top corporate diversity executives, the company has announced.

Raymone Jackson is one of more than 150 leaders in the nation’s largest corporations who made the list. The Black Enterprise top corporate diversity list honors executives who demonstrate innovation, productivity and profitability while ensuring across-the-board diversity in their workplaces.

“Raymone has made an incredible impact in his role at Northwestern Mutual,” said Jo Eisenhart, Northwestern Mutual executive vice president and chief people officer. “His passion and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our company has earned him a spot on this list, and continues to set him apart as a true leader.”

Since assuming the role in 2014, Jackson has spearheaded numerous diversity initiatives at Northwestern Mutual, the company said.

He has increased efforts to recruit and retain diverse professionals through partnerships with national organizations like the Association of Latino Professionals for America, the Grace Hopper Conference, the National Black MBA Association and the National Association of Black Accountants. Jackson has also recruited talent from diverse colleges such as Howard University, Morehouse College and the University of Puerto Rico.
