The founders of independent P&C insurance agency network Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services have announced that they will retire next year.

Bruce and Janet Cochrane retire 21 years after founding Renaissance Alliance, effective January 01, 2021. The company prides itself as one of the pioneers in the insurance aggregator space.

Following their retirement, Renaissance Alliance executive chairman Kevin Callahan and president Robert Bondi will lead the company’s executive committee. Bruce Cochrane will remain a member of the board of directors and will serve as special advisor to Callahan.

“I’m delighted to take the helm of this great company and to build on the outstanding foundation Bruce and Janet have created. We will continue our geographic expansion while enhancing the value that Renaissance provides to our members and carrier partners,” said Callahan.

Since Renaissance Alliance received an investment two and a half years ago from Long Arc Capital, the company has entered new markets, enhanced the services it provides its members, and created an integrated technology platform.

Callahan added that Renaissance is approaching $1 billion in premium, saying that it is evidence that the company’s value proposition is resonating in the market.

“We’re so proud of what we’ve built at Renaissance and are thrilled to be passing the torch during this exciting period of rapid regional expansion and significant premium growth,” commented Bruce Cochrane.
