Satellite Agency Network Group (SAN Group), the largest alliance of independent insurance agencies in the Northeast, celebrated its 35th anniversary at its annual meeting May 9 in Worcester, Mass.
More than 500 insurance professionals attended the event, which included workshops, panel discussions, a trade show, and a keynote address from Scott Stratten, a best-selling author, social media influencer, and president of UnMarketing.com.
A 1980s theme was prevalent throughout the exhibit hall, where attendees observed the 35th anniversary of SAN Group, which was founded in 1983.
“The insurance industry continues to evolve at a more rapid pace, so our goal is to help prepare our member agents for imminent change, and put forth an information-rich conference that delivers actionable strategies and solutions for the agents of the future,” said Matt Masiello, president and CEO of SAN Group. “We’re pleased at the number of members who took the opportunity to help forge a future for their agency’s growth and success.”
SAN member agencies were given the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops organized into two separate tracks – commercial lines and personal lines – that focused on how agents could transition into the insurance industry of the future. The trade show featured nearly 50 booths hosted by event sponsors.
