Texas Mutual Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Greg Carter (pictured) as its first chief transformation officer. According to a news release, Carter began his role on Dec. 30. In his new role, Carter will spearhead organizational changes with an aim to adapt to market shifts and technological advancements.
Jeanette Ward, president and CEO of Texas Mutual, expressed her enthusiasm about Carter’s appointment. “Greg brings a proven track record of driving impactful, large-scale transformations and a deep expertise in data, AI, and emerging technologies,” she said. Ward said that Carter’s leadership would help align the company’s technology strategies and foster innovation to enhance value for policyholders and stakeholders.
Carter joins Texas Mutual with an experience in leading business and technology transformations, particularly in the public sector. His background includes handling data, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud software, and enterprise platforms. The company noted that Carter is expected to bring together the company’s technology, data, product, and agile teams to support its strategic goals as a unified force.
Before joining Texas Mutual, Carter was managing director of technology practices at Slalom, a business and technology consulting firm. In that capacity, he led operations across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas, and helped Austin-based companies embrace cloud technology and optimize their software organizations.
